Product Description

Aluminium Trihydrate ( ATH ) is used as Flame Retardant , Smoke Suppressant , and Filler in Rubber , Thermosetting , Artificial marble , onyx marble , Solid Surface , Adhesive , Fiber Cement , Paint , Plastic such as Cables, Artificial Leather, Wall Covering , and etc. With increased attention being given to smoke & toxic fume emissions, ATH has found large volume application in  vinyl as a low  smoke, non toxic replacement for antimony and in polyurethane , polyester resin , latex, neoprene foam ,  Rubber, Wire & Cable insulation, vinyl wall & flooring covering and epoxy. For Unsaturated polyester resins, ATH is generally preferable to calcium carbonate as a filler as it imparts a degree of translucency, not possible with calcium carbonate due to the different indices of refraction and may be flame retarded up to the most rigorous requirements with ammonium polyphosphate or red phosphorous combined with varying amounts of ATH. For Acrylic Resin, ATH acts to give excellent texture as artificial marble, heat resistance, damping property and the like to the resulted molded article. ATH is also used in FRP Epoxy Laminate, SMC ( Sheet Molding Compound ) and BMC ( Bulk Molding Compound ) as smoke suppressing as well as being an economical resin extender. Silicon rubber insulation uses ATH as filler content, which acts as an arc quenching agent thereby it maintains local temperature below the degradation level of silicon rubber.
