Terpene Phenolic Resin is used as good tackifier and heat stability in adhesive, coatings, inks, printing electronic circuit, plastic, rubber and others. In solvent based adhesives, Terpene Phenolic Resin gives superior adhesion , good heating stability , long opening time , improving initial viscosity and good flexibility for EVA hot-melt adhesive , graft polychloroprene adhesive (graft CR adhesive) , Pressure Sensitive Adhesives (PSA) for industries of Shoe  , PVC leather , tape, spray adhesive, sticker, woodworking, assembly, packaging, labeling  and other industries. In rubber industry like neoprene and thermoplastic polymer, for example EVA, Terpene Phenolic Resin gives superior tackifier, extended open time, and contribute plasticizing action to the rubbers. Terpene Phenolic Resin does not provide the elevated temperature peel or sheer strength property important in applications, such as adhesives for decorative laminates. In addition, it is able to be used with acrylic resin ,  tetraphene rubber, natural and reclaim rubber to increases the bond strength, heat resistance of the adhesives as well as providing specific adhesion to metallic surfaces.

Terpene Phenolic Resin is soluble in almost all petroleum solvent like Benzene, Turpentine, Ethyl acetate, Mineral oil , Petroleum ether , and insoluble in like Ethanol , Ester , ketone and lower alcohol.
